Session 8: Customer Service: “Small business success is ALL about customer service”

True customer service must be an inherent part of your value system. The first step in understanding true customer service is to acknowledge that your business does not exist without customers. Customers help you achieve your goals.   If you don’t genuinely believe that your customers deserve the best and you will not compromise, you won’t be able to build a strong and sustainable customer base. Session 9: Marketing: 60 ideas for 60 days

Marketing requires consistent planning and communication to your customers. Marketing is a way of thinking. The question always must be- “What does my customer want from my business and me? Marketing is a journey that starts from an idea that you have to a service or product you actually deliver to your customers.

This ‘Start a Small Business’ module will help you to build a sustainable, successful, money-making business through effective low-cost marketing strategies. It will enable you to:

Session 10: Manage priorities: “Doing the right things in the right order every day for the next 60 days’

When you have decided to set up a new business, you really have no time to waste. Every hour becomes precious. Every action counts. As business entrepreneurs say- ‘Do the right things, don’t just do things right”. For example, if you spend 4 hours of your 9-hour day perfecting your shop lay-out, or polishing your equipment, instead of following up leads from your previous job, your priorities are not right. Polishing and re-polishing your equipment, or stacking and re-stacking your shelves because you like perfection, is generating neither customers nor money.

The reason why this ‘Start a Small Business’ module is important is because it will teach you how to make the best use of your valuable time.
